Fighter practice/cookout - June 26th 2010 Angélique De Larochelle

Thanks to everyone who attend the fighter practice/cookout. It was a pleasant day. Here are some pictures.

Special announcement - June 24th 2010

First:

It is with great pleasure to announce that 17 members showed up yesterday evening to choose their favorites for the champions' badge.

The winning entry was submitted from Angélique de LaRochelle.
Badge: Azure, a falcon Or, contourny, wings volant, maintaining a sword proper bend wise. I will be submitting this on behalf of the Shire in the next couple of weeks.

There was only one entry for the shire seal. I hope everyone had a chance to look at it.

By verbal assent, the final display of the armory on and the shapes of the belt favors was determined. Belt favors for populace/gifts will be constructed with a point at the bottom while those of the officers, with the badge of office, will be squared.

Again there is the get-together at our home Saturday June 26th, commencing with fighter practice ~12-ish. No time in particular to be there but even if you only have a few minutes, please take the time to stop by and greet friends !

Our Knights Marshal, James Underhill, has resigned his position effectively immediately. J has accepted the position as our new Knights Marshall effective immediately. Congratulation J. And thank you James for your services. It’s been a pleasure to have you as our knights Marshal.

NOWM Follow up - 14 June 2010 - Seamus Frayser, Senechal

There were three noteworthy events at this years NOWM pertaining to our shire members. Our Lord Ivan was made a Sergeant of the Red Company, and Arthiturieur Penthdragoon McGunn was awarded a Purple Fret for his long service to the shire and SCA. And lastly the Nightmare Legion was awarded a Purple Fretty.
Sean was tied for first in the torch light tournament and ended taking second place in the tie breaker. Hoobah to a very well represented rapier corp for the torch light this year. Our Lazarus finished in third place Let's all give them a Hoobah for a job well done.
